Kids’ Closet Needs List

COBYS has one big closet for all our kids. Each foster child coming into care receives a backpack filled with clothes, toys, personal care items, a Bible and more. The Closet allows caseworkers to “shop” for each child and their unique needs. Gifts for special occasions, supplies for caseworkers’ activities with kids and car seats for visitations all have a spot in the Closet. (No used items, please).

COBYS is grateful to churches and church groups who organize a drive to help “stock the closet” with supplies for our foster care and adoption children.

The Top Needs are:

1. Summer Clothing – Newborn thru teen (size 16/18). Basics such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, joggers, sweatpants in basic colors, white, grey, black, navy or other gender neutral colors which allow for mix and match outfits.
2. Bibles – My Very First Bible, Baby’s First Bible Stories Padded Board Book
3. Toddler toys for boys and girls
4. Weighted Blankets (3 lb. + 5 lb.)
5. Duffle bags for teens

We are blessed by donations from across the community. If you are planning to make a donation or hold a supply drive, please contact Anne Stokes at anne@cobys.org prior to holding the supply drive or bringing the donation to our Murry Hill Center office. This allows us to confirm need of specific items and availability of staff to receive the donation.
