Employee Benefits Overview

Health and Insurance Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage: Available to employees working 30 hours or more per week, with options for single or family plans and various deductibles. Employees pay a portion of the insurance premium.
  • Dental & Life Insurance: For a minimal cost, employees receive dental coverage, a $10,000 life insurance policy, and long-term disability insurance.
  • Vision Coverage: Provided at no cost to employees.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Available to all employees working 20 or more hours per week.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Full-time employees (37.5 hours/week) receive PTO as follows:

Employees working between 20 and 37.5 hours per week receive prorated PTO based on hours worked.

Paid Holidays

Full-time employees receive 13 paid holidays each year, including:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Presidents’ Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Indigenous Peoples’ / Columbus Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • The Friday following Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

Part-time employees (20 to under 37.5 hours/week) receive prorated holiday benefits based on their hours and tenure.

Mental Health/Sick Days

COBYS values your well-being and offers mental health/sick days to support a healthy work/life balance. Employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible, with hours provided based on weekly hours worked:

  • 37.5 hours/week: 37.5 hours per year
  • 30 to 37.4 hours/week: 30 hours per year
  • 20 to 29.9 hours/week: 20 hours per year

For staff hired during the year, these hours are prorated based on start date.

Retirement – 401(k) Plan

Our retirement plan begins on your one-year anniversary if you work 1,000 hours or more per year, helping you prepare for your financial future.

Educational Assistance

Educational assistance is available. Employees with at least one year of service may receive up to $3,000 per fiscal year for tuition and required materials.
